After Care Instructions:
Keep bandage on for 4-12 hours. Please do not remove prior to 4 hours
Wash your hands thoroughly before removing the bandage
Remove bandage delicately
Wash and cleanse the tattoo, as well as the surrounding area with mildly warm to hot water and a liquid anti-bacterial gentle cleanser or soft soap from a pump bottle. Use only your fingertips in a circular motion to remove all blood, ink and remaining traces of liquids and ointments. DO NOT USE: washcloths, paper towels, luffas, bar soap or anything abrasive!
After removing the remainder of the soap or cleanser pat gently with a clean towel and let the area air dry for 5-10 minutes before applying any aftercare products.
There are many products in the market for ‘Healing’ a tattoo. Whether it be Aquafor, Cetaphil, or other brands of healing ointments or lotions. It is important to not over saturate the area with any of the products. Apply a little product to your index finger and disperse a small bead size of around 3-5mm on average every square in.-square in. 1/2. Then with another finger using circle motions move from one bead to the next till all lotions or ointments have been caressed into a thin layer and absorbed into the skin.
Your tattoo is a wound in its basic definition. Keep your tattoo clean and repeat steps 4-6 until the tattoo is healed.
Note: IF you have animals, be sure to change your bed sheets to a clean set before you sleep in the bed with your new tattoo!
Do Not:
Pick or scratch at your tattoo
Re-bandage your tattoo
Soak or submerge your tattoo in pools, rivers, hot tubs or tub baths. Saunas are not recommended.
Avoid wearing tight clothes over the tattooed area.
Stay out of direct sunlight and/or tanning for a minimum of two weeks
